When I try to log in to my account, all I get is an error message and have since Monday at least. It might have been Sunday. I’ve lost track a little. Anyway, I’d like to have access to my account again sometime soon. Will this be possible? I’ve included a screencap of the error message. The user name is aylathebunny and the email is this email address: [redacted].

Thanks,

Amber

P.S. I created a new test account and that account has no problems logging in, but that does nothing for logging in to my actual account.

Thanks for taking the time to contact us about your concern, and we’re sorry for the inconvenience.

We try to resolve any problem with Tumblr quickly, but some problems (like this one) take time to resolve.

We’ve shared the details of this problem with our engineering team and they’ll fix it as soon as they possibly can. Due to our large number of users and the fast growth of our service, we don’t have a specific time estimate for when this problem will be fixed.

Me:

Do you guys have any idea what’s wrong? Being without info on that is almost as bad as not being able to log on.

Support:

Unfortunately, at this moment we are not able to give any specific details about this issue. Our engineers are aware of it and will fix it as soon as they can. Thanks for your patience.

Just to let you know, I still can’t log into my dashboard. Is there any clue when this issue will be fixed yet? Any idea what the issue -is-? It’s getting incredibly frustrating.

Support:

I just checked your account aylathebunny.tumblr.com and it still shows the error, I am so sorry!

We try very hard to resolve any problem with Tumblr quickly, but some problems like this one take time to resolve.

We’ve shared the details of this problem with our engineering team and they’ll fix it as soon as they possibly can. Due to our large number of users and the fast growth of our service, we don’t have a specific time estimate for when this problem will be fixed.

If you create a brand new Tumblr account, you may find that the new account does not exhibit this problem. However, that would mean starting over from scratch, as there is no way to move blogs or posts between Tumblr accounts.

Thank you for taking the time to contact us about your concern. Sorry for the inconvenience.

Me: [After headdesking a lot]

I promise I’m not bugging you guys for kicks and giggles, I really am concerned, frustrated, and a little angry. Again, any idea what the issue -is-? Is there any clue when this issue will be fixed yet? Not knowing what is wrong is bewildering and adds to the frustration.

I know creating a new account will not show the error, as I said in my very first communication with you guys. To recap, I created a test account but that does nothing for getting into my actual account.

The lack of any real information on this widespread problem (I’m not the only one. I know of many tumblrs that are down because of this) is getting very old, very fast. If it hit everyone, I could understand it being a system problem. But it isn’t. It appears random.

I thank you for all your hard work and hope that you have great success in fixing this problem quickly.

[We’ll see how they respond!]

My friend Amber has been STUCK with absolutely no access to her tumblr account for days, and Tumblr is not doing anything to solve the issue.
She created a new Tumblr to post the conversation she’s been having with the customer service, and you can see they’re not doing shit.
Please spread the word and hopefully it will finally push them to move their asses.
